Giles studied Enginering at Cambridge and following his graduation in 1989, he joined Halcrow in their Swindon office. He worked on various large civil engineering schemes including the Dartford bridge and the M25 widening near Heathrow and became a chartered engineer in 1995
He joined HWA as a partner in 1996 initially working alongside Howard until his retirement in 2002. Since then Giles, as senior partner, has overseen the development and growth of the business whilst also delivering numerous complex and challenging projects.
Giles' experience comprises the full range of structural materials and his clients value his ability to combine that technical know how with a practical and commercial approach to project delivery. As further evidence of his engineering expertise, he also acts as an expert witness.
